A newly created L&D Business Partner role is available within our award winning People Team. You will bring the L&D strategy into the forefront of our business by demonstrating how your work contributes positively and adds true value to the bottom line.
With a passion for learning and development, you will lead the delivery of L&D initiatives to support our talented colleagues to deliver an outstanding experience to our learners. As the L&D expert in the team, you will use your many years of training experience to successfully deliver on our L&D strategy.

What will you be doing?
= Be responsible for the creation and roll out of a wide range of learning and development programmes
= Use your own toolkit of resources to enhance the existing L&D provision
= Lead on the planning and delivery of Corporate Induction, ensuring resources are regularly updated to reflect key business changes
= Be closely involved with the digital transformation of our internal learning and development journey
= Develop and fulfil our L&D strategy
= Develop engaging and successful learning and development programmes, taking into account individual learning styles
= Project manage key L&D initiatives
= Work with key stakeholders to identify training and development needs and trends within the business
= Monitor the progress and completion of the internal delivery of qualifications
= Proactively seek new innovative ways to manage training delivery, both remotely and face to face
= Allocate and monitor the completion of mandatory training including Safer Recruitment and includED
= Be responsible for our Digital Levy Fund, working with the wider People Team to ensure that the fund is fully utilised
= Develop and undertake skills analysis across the business to identify skills gaps and risks
= Analyse and report on talent mobility showing vertical and lateral moves across the organisation
= Monitor our Skills Matrix and identify areas where qualifications are missing, working with managers across the business to fill these gaps
= Develop engaging induction plans to support the training and onboarding of new colleagues
= Take ownership of the CPD, PDP and succession planning processes, and produce a training plan identifying all training required
= Ensure the effective roll out of our internal leadership development programme and other internal programmes such as Group Training Skills and First Aid for Mental Health
= Monitor the ROI of our training initiatives
What we need from you:
= Significant experience in a Learning & Development role within a People/HR team
= Successful track record of building training courses, coming equipped with your own toolkit of resources
= Experience using learning technology to develop engaging training programmes on a national scale
= Confident user of MS Office packages including Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
= Ability to work independently with little supervision
= Strong working knowledge of learning and development principles and modern digital learning approaches
= Robust project management skills
= Understanding of different learning delivery channels to select an appropriate face-to-face, blended or digital solution
= Experience of the collection of data and information, both qualitative and quantitative, to analyse learning needs, implement effective delivery and measure outcomes and impact
= CIPD Level 5 qualification in L&D or equivalent experience
= Ambitious and target orientated with a drive to succeed
= Flexible and adaptable to change
= A commitment to your own personal development by challenging yourself and learning new skills
= Driving licence with access to a car insured for business use and a willingness for nationwide travel with some overnight stays
