Your job role may vary but the most important job you will do is ensuring the welfare and health (physical, mental and emotional) of the children you care for. You will be involved in playing with children, making sure they stay healthy and happy, and help them to learn new things everyday.
As a Teaching Assistant you will work with children and young people across primary, secondary or special education settings.

You’ll provide direct support to both teachers and pupils while enhancing the learning experience and opportunities for all. You will be provided with a good knowledge of the curriculum and be adept at planning and evaluation. You will learn about child development, theories and transitional stages how to apply this learning to accurately assess, provide feedback and motivate – both pupils, other support staff and increase your own productivity levels.
We will ensure you have the skills needed to make a positive contribution to a child’s wellbeing, self-belief and development.
Our Personal Tutors will deliver high-quality face-to-face learning and coaching and provide all the resources you will need to progress quickly. Our intuitive learner management system ‘Bud’ will really bring the subject to life through interactive learning tools, access to complementary online resources and relevant social communities, as well as provide real-time information so that you will always know where you’re at in your learner journey.

Completing a Teaching Assistant Level 3 apprenticeship can lead to further opportunities within childcare. Teaching Assistants provide a vital role in supporting teaching teams throughout school environments, and this role will be in great demand as classroom sizes continue to increase.
