Who is the apprenticeship for?

The role of a Learning and Development Practitioner is to identify, create and deliver appropriate training for the needs of the business and it’s employees. As a learning and development professional, you will understand the importance of continuous professional development, and an apprenticeship is a fantastic way to get the skills you need to work effectively in your role.

What will you learn?

Typically, you will have expertise in your area and the apprenticeship will be tailored to you and your specific expertise. The programme will provide you with the theories that underpin effective adult learning, learning delivery channels, how to identify and analyse learning needs and design the necessary training and resources.

How will you learn?

Our Personal Tutors will deliver high-quality face-to-face learning and coaching and provide all the resources you will need to progress quickly. Our intuitive learner management system ‘Bud’ will really bring the subject to life through interactive learning tools, access to complementary online resources and relevant social communities, as well as provide real-time information so that you will always know where you’re at in your learner journey.

Becoming a Learning and Development Practitioner will set you up for a great career within a variety of Learning and Development roles. If successful on this apprenticeship, you may be eligible to apply for Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or any other professional body that recognises this apprenticeships in its membership criteria. Do I have to find a job first?

If you’re not currently employed or looking for a new job, you can apply for apprenticeship vacancies advertised by employers looking to employ an apprentice, as you must be employed to undertake an apprenticeship.

If you already have a job and wish to gain a qualification in that industry as an apprentice, this is possible subject to your employer’s agreement.

Will it cost me anything?

No. Your employer pays your wage and we apply for government funding from the Education and Skills Funding Agency to support the cost of your qualification.
Currently 100% funding is available for apprentices ages 16 – 18 and 90% for those aged 19 + (subject to the employers levy status).

Can I undertake an Apprenticeship with my current employer?

    This apprenticeship has been designed to give you the required training to become an effective Recruitment Resourcer.
