Who is this apprenticeship suitable for?

Suitable for employees in business roles which include administration tasks, our Level 3 apprenticeship enables you to gain a professional qualification and develop your skills and knowledge while you work. Depending on the job role, your tasks will vary greatly and could include preparing notes, producing documents, organising events, setting up and maintaining filing systems, using software packages, monitoring risk and administering budgets. You will be required to work independently and/or as part of a team and will be involved in developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. You will develop key skills and behaviours to support your own progression towards management responsibilities.

Typical roles that this apprenticeship will support are Administration Assistant, Personal Assistant, Office Assistant, Legal or Medical Secretary, Administration Supervisor and Receptionist or Reception Supervisor.

What will you learn on the apprenticeship?

The Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship provides you with a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours, which can be gained working across an organisation and its processes. Our apprenticeship is expertly tailored to the role of a business administrator and by the end of the course, you will:

  • Have a firm grounding within organisational operations, functional processes, and the wider working environment.
  • Gain skills spanning IT, record and document production, decision making, planning and organising and project management.
  • Be able to manage and lead business activities like coaching activities and chairing meetings.

Our training will create a concrete platform for your professional development within business administration by providing you with practical opportunities to apply and embed your knowledge and skills.

You’ll focus on understanding business fundamentals, communication skills and managing relationships with your peers, managers and customers. This apprenticeship will develop your administrative potential and prepare you to progress to a more senior role.
