Who is this apprenticeship suitable for?

Did you know, you don’t have to go to university to become a fully qualified Accountant? An Accountancy apprenticeship gives you the chance to get a head start on your career, straight from school.

Accountants are always in demand, so you’ll be sure of a lifelong career in an incredibly important role. Once trained, you’ll assist in day-to-day financial activities such as data entry, month-end management accounts or year-end financial statements.

Typical roles that this apprenticeship will support are: Assistant Accountant, Accounts Clerk, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Trainee Accounting Technician, Cashier Finance Assistant and Sales Ledger Clerk

What will you learn on the apprenticeship?

Your Assistant Accountant – Level 3 apprenticeship will provide you with the technical skills and knowledge needed to improve your performance and add real value on a day-to-day basis. You will focus on understanding accounting fundamentals that include the preparation of final accounts, advanced bookkeeping and indirect and expenditure taxes as well as ethical accounting principles.

You’ll strengthen your ability to work collaboratively and understand how your daily contributions have a direct impact on your distinctive business and overall productivity.

Becoming an Assistant Accountant is a skill for life and can open many job doors to a long and rewarding career. As a qualified Assistant Accountant, you could work in a variety of areas, industries and sectors.
