What will I learn?
You will need to be highly organised and ready to take responsibility.
Your Apprenticeship will enable you to achieve an NVQ in Distribution and Warehousing Operations at Level 2, gaining skills such as:
- Receipt, storage and distribution of stock
- Sales Promotion
- Stock Control
- Accepting Deliveries
- Customer Enquiries
- Working as part of a team
You will also gain:
- At least two additional units from other NVQs selected by your employer
- Key Skills in Application of Number, Communication and Information Technology at Level 1
- Improving own Learning Key Skill at level 2
- You will receive training in Health and Safety and how the law applies to you at work
How will I be trained?
Most of your training will be in your workplace with your employer and you will attend training sessions at a training centre on a regular basis. We will observe you at work where you will carry out most of your assessments, and we will support you with assignments and discussions.

A Distribution and Warehousing Apprenticeship will give you all the skills you need to contribute to team working in this very busy environment. Recent trends towards e-retailing have meant that more goods are distributed to customers directly from warehouses. This dynamic industry can offer fast career progression to those with the right skills and attitude.
