Apprenticeships offer you the opportunity to draw down government subsidies to train your workforce of the future; in your ways, from day one!

Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes aimed at young people aged 16-24. They help you to recruit young people and train them on-the-job to national standards. Apprenticeships are designed by industry for industry. This means you get the skilled workforce you need, trained to the subject standards and level that meets your specific requirements.

As well as teaching practical skills, apprenticeships cover other essential work-related subjects such as Health and Safety and Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR).

Apprenticeships are designed to develop individuals, by improving their knowledge, understanding and competence in a specific vocational area. They enable the training to be tailored to suit business and individual needs through a range of components grouped together under a Framework.

There are two types of Apprenticeship available:

• Apprenticeships
• Advanced Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships; the main components of which are a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at Level 2, Key Skills and a Technical Certificate. They are designed for 16-18 year olds who are just starting out on their careers and can take 1-2 yrs to complete. Apprenticeships take young people to a level of operational competence quickly.

Advanced Apprenticeships; the main components of which are an NVQ at Level 3, Key Skills at a higher level and a Technical Certificate. They are designed for those who have either completed an Apprenticeship, or who have the appropriate qualifications or experience, usually aged 18+, and can take 2-4 yrs to complete. Advanced Apprenticeships take young people to the supervisory / technician level of competence.

Our trainers and assessors have extensive industry experience, and will provide support and guidance to both you and your employee throughout the Apprenticeship.
