Part Time Course Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations
The IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) is the definitive standard for the electrical industry, setting the requirements and operating criteria for the UK and corresponds to EC standards. Primarily aimed at practicing electricians with relevant experience, and other allied professionals. It is suitable for anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the IET 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (to Amendment 1).
Who should attend:
Anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the 17th Edition (to Amendment 1) IET Wiring Regulations – there are no formal entry requirements although a knowledge of electrical practices will be advantageous. Will be essential for any electrician who currently holds 16th edition and needs to update their certification. Candidates will need to bring their own ‘clean copy’ of the current version of the Regs (BS7671:2008 (2011)) (Green Cover), available from the IET or most good book stockists.
What you get out of it as a company:
This qualification assures customers that any electrical work that is undertaken will be completed by electricians who are conversant with the most up-to-date requirements of British Standards, which is commonly a requirement of Local Authorities, etc. It also allows candidates to progress onto further certificated courses, such as Inspection & Testing, and is also required for registration with NICEIC, ECA, ELECSA, etc., for Part ‘P’.
