Team leading apprenticeships

Paragon is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) to deliver Leadership and Management training courses and National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) at Levels 2,3 and 4.

Our fully qualified staff and associates have a wealth of Leadership and Management experience in the public and private sectors and many have hands on experience of successfully running their own businesses.

We can offer, free of charge, a skills scan to determine the level at which you may join our programmes, whether you choose the NVQ route or the more formal Certificated training programmes.

By taking part in one of these apprenticeships, learners may also qualify for government funding.

The NVQs are accessed on mandatory units For level 2, these are:

  • Developing yourself as a team leader;
  • Motivating the work team to perform; and
  • Planning and monitoring work.

Workshop sessions will also include first line management, supervision, appraisals and interview techniques.

For level 3, the mandatory units include:

  • Solving problems and making decisions;
  • Understanding change in the workplace;
  • Planning change in the workplace;
  • Achieving objectives through time management;
  • Writing for business;
  • Managing creativity and innovation in the workplace;
  • Obtaining information for effective management;
  • Managing customer service; and
  • Giving briefings and making presentations in the workplace.

Then, there is the option with each apprenticeship, to choose from several optional units. Each course takes place over 65 learning hours, which can be covered flexibly to suit the needs of the learner, employer and Paragon Skills.
