Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Heavy Vehicle)
This is a qualification, primarily aimed at candidates who do not have access to NVQs. They emphasis theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and are assessed by multiple-choice tests and practical tasks in a training environment.

Who will benefit:
Anyone wishing to work in the automotive industry, or gain accreditation of skills and/or knowledge other than following an NVQ or apprenticeship programme.
Entry requirements:
Participants should want to work in an automotive environment, be motivated and enthusiastic with good mechanical aptitude. The nature of the learning and assessment process requires that participants have at least basic numeracy and literacy skills
Course Aims:
The qualification has been designed:
- To provide valuable accreditation of skills and/or knowledge for participants not following an NVQ or apprenticeship programme
- To allow participants to learn, develop and practice the skills needed for employment and career progression within the automotive sector

- Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ Level 2 (Heavy Vehicle)
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle)
Duration:
460 Guided learning hours
