This qualification is suitable for those seeking recognition of their competence in or more of a wide variety of marine activities such as Boat Production, Maintenance or repair of boats under supervision.

Who will benefit:

Anyone working in the marine manufacturing, building, repair or maintenance jobs roles that wish to develop their skills and attain the standards required for this qualification

Entry requirements:

Participants should be working in a boat building, outfitting or maintenance environment, be motivated and enthusiastic with appropriate mechanical and practical aptitude.

Course Aims:

Participants will:

  • Gain recognition from existing skills, knowledge and understanding appropriate to the activities.
  • Be able to demonstrate safe working practices and procedures at all times.
  • Be able to work to instructions with a minimum of supervision, taking personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work they carry out.

Boat Building and Maintenance NVQ Level 3

Duration:

Up to 2 years
