Boat Building and Maintenance NVQ
This qualification is suitable for those seeking recognition of their competence in or more of a wide variety of marine activities such as Boat Production, Maintenance or repair of boats under supervision.

Who will benefit:
Anyone working in the marine environment and is involved in the Planning of Building, Maintenance or Repair jobs and has the potential to attain the standards required for this qualification.
Entry requirements:
Participants should be working in a boat building, outfitting or maintenance job role, be motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of mechanical and practical skill and knowledge of the activities.
Course Aims:
Participants will:
- Gain recognition from existing skills, knowledge and understanding appropriate to the activities.
- Be able to demonstrate safe working practices and procedures at all times.
- Be able to work to instructions with a minimum of supervision, taking personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work they carry out.

Up to 2 years
