To achieve this NVQ candidates must complete 8 units in total, consisting of 4 mandatory units covering health and safety, hygiene and security in the workplace, effective teamwork, cleaning a range of areas and using various chemicals. The candidate must also complete four optional units.

Who will benefit:

Those that are employed within the housekeeping department of hotels, hospitals or care homes and have a basic understanding of the job role but who wish to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding.

Entry requirements:

No formal entry requirements, but ideally should be working within a housekeeping department

Course Aims:

This course is designed to enable participants to have an understanding of all areas of the housekeeping function whilst gaining hands on experience within their job role.
