Hairdressing NVQ Level 3

Practical and theory assessments are used to determine and confirm candidate progress and competence set against the national standards, looking at developing creativity within the practical skills such as cutting, colouring and perming. Supervisory and management aspects are explored within units for customer service and Health and Safety.

Who will benefit:

The course is aimed at anyone wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification and progress within their career.

Entry requirements:

Participants will need to be working as a senior stylist with a varied clientele. They must be able to have the opportunity to work within a supervisory role. They must possess good communication skills, a strong interest in the fashion industry and be highly motivated, artistically minded people.

Course Aims:

On completion of this award participants will be able to show progression within their company and development of their job role enabling them to have more senior responsibilities.

Progression:

On completing this qualification, participants will be able to further their career in many directions, which could lead on to creative artistic routes, teaching demonstration and facilitation or salon management.

Duration:

Up to 18 months
