Introduction to MIG & TIG Welding
To introduce the metal arc gas shielded and tungsten arc gas shielded welding processes with tutored, hands- on experience of producing common welded mild steel joints. The process technology is covered giving sufficient understanding to identify and operate the equipment and identify operation faults and weld defects
Who will benefit:
Any person who wishes to improve their welding skills and knowledge and upgrade to MIG and TIG welding.
Entry requirements:
A good basic level of welding and gas cutting knowledge and expertise.
Course Aims:
Participants will:
- Have a good understanding of the safety aspects of the welding process
- Be able to identify and set up welding equipment and check for and recognise common defects
- Identify, set up and weld basic types of welded joint
- Identify common defects found in MIG and TIG welds, their causes and rectification methods

Duration:
10-Week Evening Course (6-9pm)
Courses are subject to minimum number participation. Bespoke training is available in all courses subject to agreement
